For some reason I feel completely unprepared for Lent this year. In recent years I've known for months what I felt God wanted me to give up for Lent. This year I prayed about it, and I didn't receive any inspiration on the subject. No, I didn't see this as a reason to not give up anything, but it has certainly made me think harder...and between the trip and being sick, I haven't had time or energy to think about anything.
So this year isn't going to be an epic marathon kind of Lent for me. I think I'll just recommit to my New Year's Resolutions and add a couple of small sacrifices and just see what happens in the coming weeks.
First step will be to get rid of this evil cold...
